I just sent a query letter off to an agent. It's the first query I've sent since I was querying Titan Magic
a year ago. This one is, of course, for a different novel, which I cannot yet post here (it has to get its butt kicked in the professional arena first). It feels strange to be querying again, but at the same time, it feels kind of good. I'm much less nervous about it, now that I don't see the agent as the only path there is to take. I think Deviant Art has been a big part of overcoming that fear.
So I wanted to thank the community here, my followers, and the artists and writers I adore. It's good to have a creative outlet that isn't dependent on commercial marketability. Art, including literature, is such a personal thing that it's hard not to get personally attached to the people you share it with. And sharing my stories has helped to give me more courage and optimism, which I'm sure I'll need for the road ahead.
In short, you people are all awesome.
